How to use a knitting fish?

You can use your knitting fish to keep track of your rounds, e.g. when you knit increases or decreases. You may often find that, according to a recipe, you have to repeat the sticks a certain number of times. Should you e.g. repeat a needle 8 times, you must place the first ring on the needle at the start of the round and for each round you insert the needle into the next ring. When you have reached ring 8, you have knitted 8 rounds.
