In Butik Smuksak you will find a large selection of yarns from our own brand as well as from leading Italian brands that produce high-quality yarns. We are the first to introduce the Italian brand Lana Gatto to the Danish market. Due to our close and long-term collaboration, we have the opportunity to create our very own color cards and exclusive yarn qualities. In addition, we have continuously added our own, carefully selected yarn qualities, which belong to Smuksak's own yarn brand. That is why we have now become a duo brand, where we offer the best qualities from both Lana Gatto and Smuksak at always good prices. We are of the conviction that delicious yarn qualities should be available to all knitters.
Our webshop has existed since 2015 and has only gotten bigger with time. Our product range is constantly developing, so that we can always offer new, unique and exciting yarn to our customers.
Love for yarn & craft
Butik Smuksak was created based on a love of yarn, good craftsmanship and the calm that can be found in creative projects. Smuksak began as a small shop community between creative female entrepreneurs with a focus on interiors and design. Later, Yanina took the place further and made a long-standing dream come true with her own webshop with yarn and hand knitting for children.
Today, Butik Smuksak has developed into a universe with a focus on yarn and knitting accessories. Yanina is responsible for the day-to-day operations and development of knitting patterns. Rikke, who started out as a loyal customer and later a permanent employee, is behind our content and shares moods, colors and inspiration on the webshop, social media and in newsletters.
For us, knitting is more than just stitches. It is calm, presence, inspiration and a common language. This is what we work every day to collect in Butik Smuksak.
Our concept
At Butik Smuksak, we offer a completely unique concept, which allows us to offer our customers unique and luxurious yarn at low prices compared to similar qualities.
Own import - advantageous prices
Perhaps you have already noticed that our yarn is sold at lower prices compared to what similar yarn normally costs. This is solely due to the fact that we import directly from the spinning mill and do not work with dealers. We sell directly from our webshops and store and can therefore offer the market's best prices for cashmere, merino, silk and silk mohair.
Unique colors and quality
We regularly expand our color card with our very own colours, which are carefully selected with an eye to the season and trends. We always make sure to be at the forefront of trends and tendencies in colors in the fashion image. At the same time, we strive to find beautiful and unique colors. Since we have long been a dealer of Lana Gatto yarn, we have the unique opportunity to make our own color chart.
Limited lots - Limited edition
We have a close collaboration with the producers of our yarn. We often come across some discontinued products or leftover lots, where we quickly act, so you can buy the yarn at far below market price. Therefore, you will often come across Limited Edition yarns, which we only have for a limited period, while stocks last. This, in turn, means that we can sell luxurious and unique yarns at low prices.
Yarn with consideration for the outside world
At Butik Smuksak, we believe that the yarn we sell is produced with consideration for the environment, people and animals. It is important to us that our values are in line with the spinning mills from which we purchase yarn.
Our yarn is mulesing-free and free of superwash. In addition, we also sell yarn types made from recycled materials, Oeko-tex certified yarn, RWS certified yarn and organic yarn qualities.
