Augustin's No. 9

Sale price50,00 kr

Augustin's no. 9  is a moderated version of Augustins' older children's design Birkeblouse. There has therefore been a focus on conveying its characteristic neckline with bow ties, the wide width of the body and the roundness of the back. As a new addition, the sleeves of this version have been designed to be puffed and the neckline has been given a picot fold. Overall, it gives a nice and light blouse which, with its timeless expression, will do well in every capsule wardrobe.
Sizes: a (b) c (d) e (f) g (h)
Goals: Your height: 80 (90) 100 (110) 120 (130) 140 (150) cm. Length (MF): approx. 52 (54) 56 (58) 60 (62) 64 (66) cm.
Movement space: This blouse is designed to have a wide range of movement from the center of the yoke downwards. The room for movement is approximately 20-30 cm, depending on your height. When choosing a size, take your own measured excess width as a starting point and let this determine which size you knit.
Guide sticks: Circular needle 4.5 + 5 + 6 mm (40 / 60 / 80 cm).
Knit strength: 16 m x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch.
Recommended yarn from Smuksak: 1 thread Rustica (350m/100g) together with 1 thread Silk Mohair (212m/25g)
Consumption: 200 (300) 350 (400) 450 (500-550) 600 (650) g Rustica and 100 (125) 150 (175) 200 (225) 250 (275) g Silk Mohair
Other: A wide ribbon bow for the neckline. In the model shown, a band with a width of 6 cm and a length of 200 cm has been used, but one of each band can be used.
Workflow: The blouse is first knitted back and forth from top to bottom in stockinette stitch with a folded picot neckline, in which a wide bow band is introduced to close the blouse at the back. In the middle of the support piece, allowances are made, where there are, the rest of the work is knitted in the round in stockinette stitch. Finally, the body is knitted further back using the German Short Rows technique. The sleeves are puffed and, like the body, have folded edges.
Remember the knitting test.
NOTE: The model in the pictures is knitted in a different yarn than Smuksak's yarn and therefore other materials will also appear in the file.

wash your home knitwear gently with it eucalan

To keep your home knitwear soft, beautiful and durable, hand washing with Eucalan - one is recommended gentle and mild wool soap without rinsing.

HOW TO DO IT:

1. Fill a tub/sink
Use lukewarm water (approx. 30 °C). Add approx. 5 ml (one teaspoon) Eucalan per 4 liters of water.

2. Soak the elastic
Place your knitting needle in the water so that it is completely covered. Let it soak for approx. 15 minutes.

3. Centrifuge or squeeze out the water
Take the knitting out of the water - Eucalan should not be rinsed out, as the wool benefits from the lanolin. Squeeze the water out carefully, without twisting. Spin your knitting at 800-1200 revolutions.
NOTE: You must be sure that your washing machine not takes in cold water during centrifugation. Alternatively, excess water can be gently squeezed out by rolling the elastic in a towel and squeezing gently.

5. Dry flat
Place the elastic in shape (according to the measurements from the recipe) and let it dry lying flat on a towel.
