Augustin's No. 8

Sale price50,00 kr

Augustin's no. 8  is a blouse with a nostalgic touch, knitted on large needles. The blouse has a deep neckline in the back which is rounded off by a soft i-cord edge, as well as a beautiful rib and picot panel which forms the blouse's frills on the sleeves as well as the collar. In order to highlight the waist, there are plaited ties on the sides which give the blouse a beautiful silhouette.
Sizes: a (b) c (d) e (f)
Goals: Overall width: 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) cm. Length (MF): approx. 50 (52) 54 (56) 58 (60) cm, or desired length.
Guide sticks: Circular needle 8 + 10 mm (40 / 60 / 80 cm).
Knit strength: 10 m x 14 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch.
Recommended yarn from Smuksak: 1 thread Shetland Wool (280m/50g) + 2 threads Silk Mohair (212m/25g).
Consumption: 150 (150) 200 (200) 250 (250) g Shetland Wool + 150 (175) 200 (225) 250 (275) g Silk Mohair.
Other: Thin elastic for mounting on the wrist of the sleeve.
Workflow: The blouse is first knitted back and forth in stockinette stitch, while sts are made for the shoulders and sleeves and the deep back cut is formed. Along the way, sts are cast on for the back, after which continue knitting in the round in stockinette stitch. The body of the blouse is finished with a folded edge. Along the neckline, which goes deep down the back, an i-cord edge is knitted, after which sts are picked up for the ribbed collar with picot. The sleeves are knitted straight down in stockinette stitch with an end corresponding to the pattern of the collar. Finally, 2 ties are braided which are fitted at the waist under each sleeve.
Remember the knitting test.
NOTE: The model in the pictures is knitted in a different yarn than Smuksak's yarn and therefore other materials will also appear in the file.

wash your home knitwear gently with it eucalan

To keep your home knitwear soft, beautiful and durable, hand washing with Eucalan - one is recommended gentle and mild wool soap without rinsing.

HOW TO DO IT:

1. Fill a tub/sink
Use lukewarm water (approx. 30 °C). Add approx. 5 ml (one teaspoon) Eucalan per 4 liters of water.

2. Soak the elastic
Place your knitting needle in the water so that it is completely covered. Let it soak for approx. 15 minutes.

3. Centrifuge or squeeze out the water
Take the knitting out of the water - Eucalan should not be rinsed out, as the wool benefits from the lanolin. Squeeze the water out carefully, without twisting. Spin your knitting at 800-1200 revolutions.
NOTE: You must be sure that your washing machine not takes in cold water during centrifugation. Alternatively, excess water can be gently squeezed out by rolling the elastic in a towel and squeezing gently.

5. Dry flat
Place the elastic in shape (according to the measurements from the recipe) and let it dry lying flat on a towel.
