Augustin's No. 4

Sale price50,00 kr

Augustin's no. 4  is a fine and feminine vest with a full skirt and i-cord details along the edges.
The model is knitted from top to bottom and is assembly-free. An elevation is knitted on the back of the vest - this is to make it longer in the back, which gives it a beautiful silhouette.
The vest can be knitted in a multitude of beautiful yarn combinations, and can either be light or full in its expression, depending on preference - as long as the knitting strength is respected, the possibilities are many.
With its stated measurements, the vest is a slightly short model in the front, which makes it really nice if you wear a shirt underneath, for example.
However, if you want it longer, increase the length of the skirt - remember to calculate extra yarn consumption.
Sizes: xs (s) m (l) xl (xxl)
Goals: Your height: 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) cm. Length (MF): approx. 50 (52) 54 (56) 58 (60) cm, or desired length.
Guide sticks: Circular needle 9 + 10 mm (40 / 60 / 80 cm).
Knit strength: 10 x 14 m = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch.
Recommended yarn from Smuksak: 2 threads Samay (130m/50g) together with 1 thread Silk Mohair (212m/25g)
Consumption: 300 (300) 350 (350) 400 (400) g. Samay and 50 (50) 50 (75) 75 (75) g. Silk Mohair
Workflow: The front and back of the vest are first knitted back and forth separately in stockinette stitch. Next, gather to body, from which it is knitted in the round in stockinette stitch. Before the skirt is knitted, an elevation is made at the back using the German short rows technique to make the vest longer at the back. The skirt is formed by taking out and finished with an i-cord edge. Next, sts are picked up around the armhole and then knit on an i-cord edge. The same method is used for the neck edge, which also has a final i-cord edge.
Remember the knitting test.
NOTE: The model in the pictures is knitted in a different yarn than Smuksak's yarn and therefore other materials will also appear in the file.

wash your home knitwear gently with it eucalan

To keep your home knitwear soft, beautiful and durable, hand washing with Eucalan - one is recommended gentle and mild wool soap without rinsing.

HOW TO DO IT:

1. Fill a tub/sink
Use lukewarm water (approx. 30 °C). Add approx. 5 ml (one teaspoon) Eucalan per 4 liters of water.

2. Soak the elastic
Place your knitting needle in the water so that it is completely covered. Let it soak for approx. 15 minutes.

3. Centrifuge or squeeze out the water
Take the knitting out of the water - Eucalan should not be rinsed out, as the wool benefits from the lanolin. Squeeze the water out carefully, without twisting. Spin your knitting at 800-1200 revolutions.
NOTE: You must be sure that your washing machine not takes in cold water during centrifugation. Alternatively, excess water can be gently squeezed out by rolling the elastic in a towel and squeezing gently.

5. Dry flat
Place the elastic in shape (according to the measurements from the recipe) and let it dry lying flat on a towel.
