Augustin's No. 20

Sale price50,00 kr

Augustin's no. 20 is a long and snug sweater that creates an oversized look with its draped sleeves and wide ribbed edges.
At both the sleeves and bottom edge, the sweater has small pattern details, which together with the detailed collar give it a nostalgic look.
The warm, dense woolen yarn combined with the mohair thread not only gives a beautiful play of colors, but also a particularly fine structure that is characteristic of the Nordic warm winter sweaters.
Sizes: a (b) c (d) e (f) g (h)
Goals: Your height: 80 (90) 100 (110) 120 (130) 140 (150) cm. Length (MF): approx. 70 (71) 72 (73) 74 (75) 76 (77) cm.
Movement space: The room for movement for this blouse is approximately 10-20 cm, depending on your size. When choosing a size, take your own measured excess width as a starting point and let this determine which size you knit.
Guide sticks: Circular needle 5 + 6 mm (40 / 60 / 80 cm).
Knit strength: 14 m x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch
Recommended yarn from Smuksak: 1 thread Samay (130m/50g) along with 1 thread Silk Mohair (212m/25g)
Consumption: 450 (450) 450 (500) 550 (550-600) 600 (600) g Samay and 125 (125) 150 (150) 175 (175) 200 (200) g Silk Mohair
Other: Twisting needle 6 mm (alternatively, a double pointed needle 6 mm can be used).
Workflow: The blouse is knitted in the round from the top down in stockinette stitch. First, a high and close-fitting neckline is knitted in double rib. Next, a series of raglan cuts are begun to form the backing piece. During the raglan reductions, double the stitches of the sleeves to make them puffy. The body is knitted with a series of increases in each side to give it an A-shape. At both the sleeves and the bottom edge of the body, a patterned double rib is knitted, and finally an i-cord tie and patterned collar are knitted under the high neckline.
Remember the knitting test.
NOTE: The model in the pictures is knitted in a different yarn than Smuksak's yarn and therefore other materials will also appear in the file.

wash your home knitwear gently with it eucalan

To keep your home knitwear soft, beautiful and durable, hand washing with Eucalan - one is recommended gentle and mild wool soap without rinsing.

HOW TO DO IT:

1. Fill a tub/sink
Use lukewarm water (approx. 30 °C). Add approx. 5 ml (one teaspoon) Eucalan per 4 liters of water.

2. Soak the elastic
Place your knitting needle in the water so that it is completely covered. Let it soak for approx. 15 minutes.

3. Centrifuge or squeeze out the water
Take the knitting out of the water - Eucalan should not be rinsed out, as the wool benefits from the lanolin. Squeeze the water out carefully, without twisting. Spin your knitting at 800-1200 revolutions.
NOTE: You must be sure that your washing machine not takes in cold water during centrifugation. Alternatively, excess water can be gently squeezed out by rolling the elastic in a towel and squeezing gently.

5. Dry flat
Place the elastic in shape (according to the measurements from the recipe) and let it dry lying flat on a towel.
