Augustin's Cables no. 2 is a knitting pattern for socks with fine twisting details.
Size: 35/36 (37/38) 39/40 (41/42) 43/44 (45/46).
The length of the foot: Approx. 22.5-23 (23.5-24) 24.5-25 (25.5-26) 26.5-27 (27.5-28) cm.
Shaft height: Approx. 14.5 (15) 15.5 (16) 16.5 (17) cm.
Knit strength: 30 m x 40 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch on circular needle 2.5 mm (after washing).
Stick: The socks can either be knitted with double pointed needles or the Magic Loop method:
- If the Magic Loop method is used: 2 sets of circular needles 2.5 mm and 1 set 3 mm, 60 cm.
- If double crochets are used: 1 set of double pointed needles 2.5 mm and 3 mm.
Miscellaneous: Twisting needle 3 mm.
Recommended yarn from Smuksak: 1 thread Perlata d'Australia from Lana Gatto (233 m per 50g)
Consumption: 100 g for all sizes.
Note: Perlata d'Australia is not a classic stocking yarn and will therefore not have the same wear resistance.
Workflow: The socks are knitted in the round from top to bottom in structured knitting. First, a double-layer ribbing is knitted, after which the structure pattern of the shaft, which is knitted according to the diagram, is started. When the shaft is finished knitting, the heel is formed in stockinette stitch using the German Short Rows method. The sock is finished by knitting the foot in the same structure pattern as the shaft, and the toe in stockinette stitch with indentations. 
Remember the knitting test.
NOTE: The model in the pictures is knitted in a different yarn than Smuksak's yarn and therefore other materials will also appear in the file.

wash your home knitwear gently with it eucalan

To keep your home knitwear soft, beautiful and durable, hand washing with Eucalan - one is recommended gentle and mild wool soap without rinsing.

HOW TO DO IT:

1. Fill a tub/sink
Use lukewarm water (approx. 30 °C). Add approx. 5 ml (one teaspoon) Eucalan per 4 liters of water.

2. Soak the elastic
Place your knitting needle in the water so that it is completely covered. Let it soak for approx. 15 minutes.

3. Centrifuge or squeeze out the water
Take the knitting out of the water - Eucalan should not be rinsed out, as the wool benefits from the lanolin. Squeeze the water out carefully, without twisting. Spin your knitting at 800-1200 revolutions.
NOTE: You must be sure that your washing machine not takes in cold water during centrifugation. Alternatively, excess water can be gently squeezed out by rolling the elastic in a towel and squeezing gently.

5. Dry flat
Place the elastic in shape (according to the measurements from the recipe) and let it dry lying flat on a towel.
