Winter Rose Sweater - Knitamore

The Winter Rose Sweater is knitted from top to bottom with raglan construction, where the raglan beams consist of braid twists. First, the neck is knitted with braid twists that become wider and wider, after which it is continued in stockinette stitch down the yoke with raglan openings around the four raglan beams, where the twists continue.

The body is knitted in stockinette stitch with two twisting cables on each side of the sweater, which runs all the way from the neck down, and is finished with a turned ribbed edge at the bottom. Finally, the sleeves are knitted straight down and finished off with twists all the way around. The sweater is assembly-free.

The size/width of the braid twists differentiates in relation to the individual sizes, as these help to create the fit and size. Thus, sizes XS and S are knitted very similar to each other, while sizes M and L and XL and 2XL are knitted in pairs in the same way. This way of grading the sweater is done in order not to compromise on the appearance of the sweater itself. It is therefore especially the size of the twists that helps to create the different sizes.

The measurements of the sweater: Overall width: 91 (96) 106 (111) 119 (126) cm. Length: 53 (55) 55 (59) 59 (60) cm measured center back. Sleeve length: 42 (42) 42 (43) 44 (45) cm measured from armhole.

Size guide: Winter Rose Sweater should have a movement room of approx. 6-16 cm. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL and (2XL) correspond to chest measurements of approximately 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) cm. Measure yourself and estimate your size in relation to how tight you want the sweater to be before you start knitting the sweater.

Knit strength: 17 stitches x 29 rows in stockinette stitch on needles 4.5 mm = 10 x 10 cm.

Guiding sticks: Circular needle 4.5 mm (60/80/100 cm and possibly 40 cm for the sleeves). Alternatively, double crochets can be used for the sleeves. Circular needle/double pointed needles 3.5 mm for closure at the sleeves.
