Silk Mohair in Mandarin from Lana Gatto is a warm, fresh orange shade with lots of glow. It works really well as a contrasting color in patterns or as a small boost of color in edges, hats and scarves. The airy structure of the mohair dampens the sharpness and gives a softer, more vibrant surface, while the silk adds a fine, light sheen.
If you knit this silk mohair alone in several threads, you can easily build up thickness and achieve the knitting strength you are after - without the result feeling heavy. As a companion thread, it is mainly about adding extra softness, luxury and a slightly fluffy expression, as well as giving your knit more dimension and life (and in some combinations a more mixed play).
