Silk Mohair in Bluejay from Lana Gatto is a blue shade with a petrol/turquoise undertone, which gives a cool and modern color expression. It has more depth than a classic blue and gets a beautiful play in the knit, because the airy, slightly furry structure of the mohair softens the expression, while the mulberry silk adds a discreet shine. The result is one mohair yarn with silk, which looks exclusive – even in plain stockinette.
Do you knit Bluejay as silk mohair alone in several strands, you can build up thickness and hit it knitting fastness, you want, without the project becoming heavy.
