In the color Gold, you get a warm, classic gold-colored mica thread that gives a clear, shiny play in the knitting. New Glitter from Lana Gatto is a glitter yarn/effect yarn, which is typically used as a follower thread when you want to add a pure glitter finish to your project. The thread is very thin with a running length on it 25 g = 300 meters, so it usually does not significantly affect the knitting strength - but it can be seen on the surface and catches the light beautifully in the stitch image.
