Aislin Blouse - Knitamore

The Aislin Blouse is knitted from top to bottom in one piece. You begin by casting on stitches for the entire width of the neck and a few stitches for the shoulders and front pieces, and then you knit back and forth with removals for the rounding of the neck, shoulders and later neck and dome sleeves.

Finally, the neck is gathered and knitted in the round, while still increasing for slightly puffed sleeves and armholes. The sleeves are knitted long and wide with a draped look and finished with an i-cord edge. In the neck, an i-cord edge is also knitted as a finish, while the body is finished with a ribbed edge. The Aislin Blouse is assembly-free.

The measurements of the blouse: Extreme size: approx. 80 (86) 93 (98) 105 (115) cm. Length: approx. 52 (53) 54 (56) 58 (60) cm measured in the middle of the back excl. i-cord in the neck.

Size guide: Aislin Blouse is a feminine knitted blouse with long balloon sleeves with a slight puff. The blouse has a construction that gives it a very feminine and tailored look. This means that it has a negative ease of approx. 0-5 cm and thus is designed to stretch along the body. The blouse will, however, lend itself to use just like any other knit. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL and 2XL correspond to chest measurements of approximately 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) cm. Measure yourself and estimate your size before you start knitting the sweater.

Knit strength: 20 sts x 29 rows in stockinette stitch on needles 4.0 mm = 10 x 10 cm.

Guiding sticks: Circular needle 4.0 mm (40/60 cm and 80 or 100 cm), circular needle 3.5 mm (40/80 cm). Possibly a double pointed needle 4.0 mm for knitting i-cord edging.

Yarn suggestions from Smuksak: 1 thread Shetland Wool (50 g / 280 m) or VIP Cashmere/ Merino (50 g / 200 m) together with 1 thread Silk Mohair (25 g / 212 m). It is knitted with two threads in total.
